HOW TO EAT MORE VEGATABLES { EVEN IF YOU HATE THE TASTE}

DID YOUR MOM SAY EAT ALL YOUR VEGETABLES OR THE PEOPLE IN CHINA WILL STARVE?

Or were you threatened that if you didn't eat your broccoli, your TV time would be limited?

We all probably had some food threats in our lives!

Unless you are a rabbit!

I remember mom making us eat just one bite and before you knew if we were eating all of it.

We are told that we must eat 8 to 10 servings of  vegetables and fruits. I don't know about you but I don't have time to eat all of that. All the chewing would tire me out.

It's been recommended to start at breakfast by adding spinach to your eggs, or eat left overs from supper with your breakfast choice.

This still doesn't do it for me. I might could add the spinach a few times a week but that wouldn't help me get the recommended 8 to 10 servings.

I already add a salad at lunch and one or two veggies at supper and I still cant get all the necessary green in my diet!

I just don't want to crunch that much, do you?

So how do we eat more vegetables, even if we hate the taste?

I suggest juicing them!

Getting the right recipe is the key.  Of course you can mix it and drink it fast if it doesn't taste as good as a milk shake.

Here's one you can try.

Use a good blender or it will be chunky.

8-16 oz of green tea, sweetened

two handfuls of fresh spinach

one small cucumber peeled

about 6"-8" of celery

pinch of parsley

1Tablespoon of almond butter, blend and add water if needed!

This is doable, but sometimes I need it to just be simple and fast because I am on the go!

That's when I drink a green mix that someone else has figured out how much of this and that I really need and there is NO CRUNCH! Love It!

Not only do you get the green vegetables, but the other good stuff you need like...

  • A convenient and delicious supplement to complement a healthy diet
  • Good source of fiber (3g)
  • Prebiotics, probiotics and enzymes to support digestive health*
  • Promotes weight management*
  • Fits into an active, on-the-go lifestyle
If you don't know of a good one, here's the ones I like. Click here and see the benefits of
Just so you'll know I do sell Advocare and I have for four years. I've stuck with it this long because the products taste good and they work! I also sell as a Independent distributor because of the price breaks I get. Check it out for yourself click here.

So hopefully you have been inspired to eat more veggies! This is the easy way and when it tastes great  and there is no chewing involved, it is so much easier to accomplish! Don't forget to eat as much as you can fresh!

Tricks to Conquer Emotional and Mindless Overeating!

 Powerful Tools To Gain Control!

I've been there, it starts out with just one bite it wont' hurt and before you know it your whole resolve is blown! Then after you've eaten the whole do-nut or maybe the whole box or more than you intended, you are sitting there hating yourself and  wondering what hit you like a mack truck!

You Just Sabotaged Yourself!

You wake up the next morning with a headache, stiff, swollen eyes and the scale is your worst enemy because it usually doesn't lie.

At this point you can either jump back on the weight loss wagon or stay in the mud of gluttony and continue on down the slippery road of binge eating or mindless eating ignoring the scales in the corner of your bathroom.

You are probably thinking I am heartless for posting such a gorgeous picture. Sometimes we need to just face it.

But really is it the do-nut or cake that is the enemy?

Do You Want To Know How To Stop Emotional Eating?

Over eating really is whats going on.

You may deny it but the roller coaster up and down back and forth doesn't lie. You keep losing the same old five pounds or more.

You may find that you are just fine when you are by yourself and your diet stays intact. You may even be okay around certain people or situations that don't seem to influence you.

Then something happens that gives you that feeling of being out of control and it just seems to sneak up on you and before you know it your ordering pecan pie to finish off that salad with low fat dressing you just had.

Then the self hate settles in.

Ok, I think I've Gotten Your Attention. So How Do You

"Stop The Insanity" as Susan Powers Used To Say?

It's really not just about food is it?

I want you to sit a minute and let that question sink in.

You may not want to face it but there is something else going on inside you and until you start to face it, the weight roller coaster will continue and the hills will get higher and higher.

So If You Are Ready To Face It, Continue Reading...

I've taught Life Recovery in my home church for the last few years and studied it for almost ten years and the same twelve steps that are used in alcoholics anonymous, are the same steps that you can use to over come eating issues.

If you are a Christian you can find amazing peace by purchasing the Life Recovery bible at your local Christian bookstore or on Amazon. This bible has the twelve steps inside it and it uses scripture to guide you through life circumstances.

I've had new comers ask the question, what is Life Recovery? My answer is, it's a program that helps you over come any life challenging problem. It can be anger, depression, cursing, over spending, resentfulness, over eating... and the list goes on and on. These actions are the results of something that has occurred in your life that you feel overwhelmed by. You can check out more about Life Recovery by clicking here.

Something has happened in your life that makes you want to comfort yourself with food.

I remember attending a ceremony of a loved one and there was obvious conflict going on between the husband and family. As the man was raging and having himself a hissy fit about this thing that made him mad, his wife sat there humming to herself and slowly rocking back and forth. She was trying to cope and I am sure she was trying not to listen to him. I was in shock myself that she put up with his behavior.

We all put up with different things and we sometimes internalize these emotions. These emotions will eventually show up in some form or fashion if we don't deal with them. It's like letting a snake live in your home, it will eventually bite!

So lets do an exercise right here!

I am not one to tell you that you need to do something without giving you some ideas of what to do. So here is a powerful tool you can use to begin conquering mindless over eating.

1. I want you to think about a certain time when you over ate and lost control.

2. What were you feeling at the time?

3. Did something happen that made you feel that way?

4. Was it a person?

5. Was it a situation that made you feel that way?

Start making a journal of your feelings and when you felt that way and what caused it. You may not have to make a list, it may be clear as day what caused you to feel this way. When you finally realize what triggers you or sets you off on the road to self destruction, then you are on the road to healing if you can admit to yourself that you have no power over this and you need help.

Of course staying away from what triggers you is a great start, but healing comes from finding out why these things or people trigger you. It may not even be that person that is the root of the problem but something that happened a long time ago.

Think back to when you can first remember over eating. Maybe it was in high school and you didn't have a date to the prom so you ate to comfort yourself because the feel good endorphins increased as you felt the ice cream slide down your throat. Or maybe it was someone who abused you verbally or physically. It could be that you had a difficult time going through puberty. Often teens will go through depression as their hormones change and habits can develop with a poor self image. Kids can also be very cruel with their comments and then the self sabotage starts as you begin to believe what you are hearing.

This is just a short exercise, but there is a lot of work that you should do to get the healing you need.

If you resonate with what is written here then I strongly suggest getting into a group of like minded individuals all working toward the same goal of getting control of their lives. Your community should have a number of supports groups you can check out to see if it fits your needs. Or you can stay connect here and I will be sharing different topics for you that will hopefully help you on your road to recovery and eating healthy again.

Doing the work is hard. It's uncomfortable but the results are so worth it! When you have a great support group it makes the world of difference!
